Measuring Up 2008…

Well, it is that time again. Time to roll over the calendar and venture into another new year. Yes, 2009 is upon us! I can’t believe how fast this year has gone.

Growing up my dad always said, “just wait, each year goes faster than the one before”. Well, having just finished my 38th year I can understand a little of what he meant. This year flew by!

As I reflect back on 2008 I’m reminded of all the new friends I’ve made along the way, all the friends I already had that I got even closer to, and how thankful I am to my friends and family who are always there for me. These relationships are cherished and much appreciated. In the good times and the bad, I can count on them. I’m reminded of the opening song from the musical Rent as I reflect upon this.

How Do You Measure – Measure A Year?
In Daylights – In Sunsets
In Midnights – In Cups Of Coffee
In Inches – In Miles
In Laughter – In Strife…

I thought I’d ask you to reflect and share your 2008 here in the comments. Please share a favorite sunrise, sunset, cup of coffee story, vacation, laughter, tear, new friend story, old friend story… This sharing can be in a word, a sentence, a story, a link to a photo, whatever tells your moment. I’ll be joining in and sharing my moments in the comments as well.

Happy New Year!
