Getaway Sunday: Lake Merwin

It’s Memorial Day weekend and that means you have to get out and do something. Even if you can’t fly away on vacation, get out and find something to do. Fortunately we live in an area where you can drive and hour-ish in any direction and find wonderful things to do.

So today we packed up the Expedition and headed north on 503 through Battle Ground, through Amboy (my families roots go deep here) and to Lake Merwin Campers Hideaway. We have friends with a vacation home in there and they invited us out to spend a day on the boat and the waverunners. You can’t just drive on in since it’s a secured community. There are lots of other places that will also get you to Lake Merwin.

We rode the waverunners all day plus played on the boat. It was a beautiful day in fabulous north Clark County, WA. See for yourself.

Time to play

Can you believe this view? I love the Pacific Northwest!
