Getaway Sunday: Happy Father’s Day Golfing

Since today is Sunday, it’s time to get away. Time to get away from the craziness. The hustle and bustle. Since it happens to be Father’s Day, let’s go golfing! Golfing is always a nice, relaxing thing to do right?

OGA Golf Course – The Home of Amateur Golf

I’ve had the opportunity to golf (I should state that when I say “golf” I mean walk around the course, with clubs, chasing a ball all over the place) here once last year. My brother-in-law Scott and I played a round at this beautiful course. Scott is an excellent golfer! He actually puts the ball pretty close to where he wants it. I just hope for a general direction and swing away. Sometimes I even get close. But I do enjoy being out there on the course enjoying our beautiful Pacific NW scenery.

A Championship Experience Awaits You

OGA Golf Course is located in Woodburn, OR. Just a hop, skip and a jump down the I-5 from Vancouver/Portland. You can be there in less than one hour. It’s worth the drive down to play and you can go online to book your tee time or maybe even win a free round of golf. I don’t quite remember my score for the day but I do know I had a wonderful time. You could probably ask my brother-in-law, he’d remember. I’ll leave you with a few more photos from that day and wish all the dads out there a Happy Father’s Day!
