Tonight we decided to try out a new teriyaki place and what a treat it was. My wife, daughter and I headed into KC Teriyaki out in the Fishers Landing area and were most pleasantly surprised. We typically are fans of anything teriyaki but sometimes it’s just that extra bit better.
KC Teriyaki is in the retail center on SE Mill Plain just west of SE 164th Avenue. I believe it had been a different teriyaki place before but the sign says it has new owners and a new menu. Both the owners and menu are winners! We ordered the Chicken Breast Teriyaki dinner, Chicken Yakisoba and an order of their Gyoza. All of the dishes came out in a good time and were excellent. The chicken was all very tender and full of flavor. The breasts were moist and the teriyaki sauce most flavorful. One of the things that really struck me was the presentation. In most teriyaki houses like this you get your food on a fairly normal plate but KC Teriyaki has stepped their game up. Each dish was plated beautifully on a large Asian styled dish that added that extra little something.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced, great atmosphere, full flavored teriyaki meal please stop in and visit KC Teriyaki. BONUS! I just noticed on their website they are not only located out in east Vancouver but also located up in Salmon Creek! So, if you’re on the east side or west side you can enjoy a meal here. In addition to teriyaki, you’ll find a nice selection of Chinese dishes.
