Day 260 of 365…

East Fork Cellars in Ridgefield WAI’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, please take the time to meet local business owners! We have some amazing ones here locally in Clark County and today’s post highlights a couple of them. I stopped in to check out East Fork Cellars and didn’t know I’d end up there over an hour visiting. First I met Stacey and then Jeff. They are wonderful (this tends to be a consistent trait among every winery owner I’ve met locally).

Jeff shared with me not only what they do at East Fork Cellars but he also shared the history of their building. After World War 2 this was a central processing location for Smuckers Jam. All of our local strawberries, blueberries and raspberries would travel through their main tasting room on conveyors to be sorted by local workers. I love getting this sort of detail.

East Fork Cellars is a very cool winery just south and east of Ridgefield, WA. They offer a variety of wines ranging from Riesling to Pinot Noir. Disclosure: I’m not much of a wine fan and I tasted two that I really enjoyed. I tasted the 2009 Pinot Noir and also Jeff’s Bordeaux (don’t remember the exact name but it was great).

The interior has a very cool music flavor to it which is logical because they offer live music here throughout the week. You’ll definitely want to check out their live music schedule and head in to enjoy an evening of music and wine.

East Fork Cellars is located at 24415 NE 10th Avenue, Ridgefield,WA 98642 and can be reached at 360-727-3055. You can also connect to East Fork Cellars on Facebook.
