Day 58 of 365…

When the sun breaks out like it did today it makes you want to head outside and find a great park or open space. Someplace to have some fun. As I was out and about during my day I found myself on 192nd Avenue and SE Mill Plain and thought, why not stop in at Fisher Basin Community Park for a little walk. Basketball and tennis at Fisher Basin Community ParkThis 12 acre community park is a great resource out in East Vancouver. They have a great level paved path all around the park, massive grass play areas, a huge playset, full basketball court plus a half court and two tennis courts.

My kids and I love coming here to play tennis and throw a Frisbee or football. We also have been here to watch friends kids play soccer (Vancouver-Clark Parks & Recreation does a lot of soccer stuff at this park).

If you are already familiar with this great park I’m sure it’s a favorite. If you haven’t ventured out to try it I’d recommend you do so. Remember, there are only two tennis courts which means you may have to wait a while so bring a Frisbee or something to toss around while you wait. There is also a covered picnic area and restrooms which is very nice.
