If you are hoping to take advantage of the First Time Homebuyers $8,000 Tax Credit you’d better get with it. Time is running short since the purchase must be completed by November 30th, 2009. How much time do I have left to find a home?

In my opinion, if you do not have a fully signed purchase and sale agreement done by the middle of October you will not make it. This is cutting it as close as you can since a lot of purchases are taking 5 to 6 weeks to close in this current market. Basically you have a little over a month to find a home and get a successful deal negotiated if you want to get the extra $8,000 tax credit.
