Day 340 of 365…

Sportsmen’s Bar & Grill… Where everybody knows your name! That was the feeling I got as I walked in the door this Saturday evening. The place was hopping and it seemed as if everyone knew each other. The main restaurant was full, the “game room” with video games and a pool table was full. Even the bar area was full.

Since I was looking to get in and out fairly quick I figured I’d grab a seat in the bar and much to my delight, discovered their Happy Hour runs until 7pm! Sportsmen’s has an excellent Happy Hour menu that I chose to fill my belly from. I enjoyed their BBQ Pork Sliders with fries and I couldn’t resist the Cheesy Tots as well. Both dishes were amazing! All for less than $5! What a deal.

I didn’t look over the full dinner menu but the prime rib dinner I saw come out to a gentleman next to me looked incredible. A huge cut of tender looking meat with fresh veggies on the side. Maybe next time…

I noticed on the sign out front that they also have a karaoke night if that’s your thing. In addition, you’ll find a pool table, video games and I believe I saw old school pull tab machines plus the new video pull tabs as well.

My wife Bridget Chumbley shared with me a cute little video of the Evian Roller Babies today and it made us think about that creepy little kid who danced around the set of Ally McBeal back in the mid-late 1990s. Yes, we watched Ally McBeal and quite enjoyed it. It’s hard to believe it’s been 13+ years since that was on.

The thing that is really amazing is how far our technology has come. I know we see it all the time but when you look at that original ugachaka diapered kid (which was quite cutting edge back then) compared to this new Evian batch of babies it’s pretty remarkable. See the difference for yourself.

Pretty crazy if you ask me. As creepy as all these kids are, it does kind of make you smile a bit. I hope you enjoyed the videos. Maybe someone in your world could use a little chuckle in their day, forward it on!

This week I finally did it. I made the move away from Verizon and into the AT&T world. What caused me to do such a thing? Only one thing could cause me to do this. The new iPhone 3GS. This thing is amazing! Absolutely incredible. Rather than ramble on about it, I’ll show some of the shots I’ve made the last couple days.

This is Charlie, he was hanging out at the AT&T store. Charlie thinks he’s an eagle, please don’t tell him otherwise. I’d hate to disappoint him. He is actually owned by a dear friend of mine (who will be celebrating 10 years cancer free this year!!!) Yeah Amy!

Well, maybe not full blown Hollywood but pretty close. This promotional short film was created for a Blog Makeover Contest put on by InmanNews. Believe it or not, I was not the winner of the contest but I am a winner to have such a great promotional video to show off this blog and our community.

This video has been living over there on the upper right side for a while now but I want to give some proper credit for all the effort that went into it. My friend Chris Martin of Chris Martin Studios is the mastermind behind this whole production. I shared with Chris my hopes and goals of the video and he listened and came up with something that far exceeded my expectations!
