Day 132 of 365…
Just North of Clark College Campus you’ll find the 20 acre beautifully treed Water Works Park. Water Works is part of the Vancouver Central Park area. Even though this is not officially a “park” you’d never know it. In reality this property is the City of Vancouver’s main water production facility. But you’ll discover tons of wildlife, great trails, benches to sit and take in the beauty and a generally peaceful setting. Plus the connectivity to Fourth Plain and Clark College helps draw people in as well.
Inside Water Works Park you’ll discover Swift Skatepark as well. This 12,000 square foot skatepark was funded and built in 1998 and has served our skateboarding, rollerblading, biking, scootering community ever since. This skatepark features several large bowls, smaller bowls, ramps and street furniture for stunts.
Water Works Park and Swift Skatepark are located at Fourth Plain & Ft. Vancouver Way, Vancouver, WA 98664. They fall under the operation of Vancouver-Clark Washington Parks & Recreation. You can connect up with them on Facebook as well.
