Day 212 of 365…
The temperatures are starting to drop and the rain is starting to come back again. Perhaps you are a skateboarder or know a skateboarder. If so, you know this is not a friendly time of year to skate in the Pacific NW. Rain does not mix well with boarding. Guess what? This problem now has an awesome local solution!
Ripzu Skatepark is the place! This INDOOR skate park rips… You’ll find a vast array of ramps, rails, pipes, steps, boxes, walls, street terrain and more. At 6,900 square feet this is the largest indoor park in the Metro area.
This skatepark cares about the community. Read this snippet from their “About Me” page.
Ripzu is a different kind of park. Ripzu Skatepark is a family owned and operated business committed to providing a safe and enjoyable skateboard destination where the inner child of any age can go to challenge themselves physically, interact socially, and express their self artistically. We are not skateboarders dreaming of having our own ramps so we can ride for free. We are loving parents with two skateboarding boys who needed a safe place to ride. A place that promotes personal and social responsibility and one that is free from the unchecked negative influences at most outdoor parks…
They offer a wide variety of pricing options for the skaters. You can become an annual member of Ripzu for $50 per year which gets you discounted riding time and all sorts of other cool perks. You can also just come in as a walk-in and skate that way too. A 3 hour session runs $10 for a non-member. They also offer Punch Cards in quantities of 5 or 10 sessions. Ripzu offers Kids Club, Old Fart night ;), birthday parties, facility rental, lessons and concert nights. You can also rent gear from them if you need it. They also offer free WiFi so the parents can surf the net while the their kids are enjoying the skate park.
Ripzu Skatepark has an All-Niter Friday, September 17th from 9pm to 7am. They have a Rock Your Skate concert night scheduled for September 25th. All of their events are open to skaters and non-skaters alike. Skate activity is limited to skateboarders and roller bladers. (Sorry, no bikes or scooters)
Starting this Monday, September 20th Ripzu will be partnering with FacePlant SkateChurch. Each Monday you can skate from 6pm – 9pm for only $4!
