Day 157 of 365…
Tonight I finally managed to get over to Anoush Deli International Food Market to try one of their Gyros. I’ve heard from people on 365 Things To Do In Vancouver, WA that they are awesome. I’ve had friends tell me I need to stop by there and try them out. I’ve seen the sign and thought I should stop by. Guess what?
I loved them! I had the gal grab me a couple slices of the Gyro meat to taste and it was tender and flavorful so I said, please make me one. I got it to go and when I got home I was not disappointed. The pita was great, there was plenty of meat, tomatoes, onions, feta cheese and tzatziki sauce. It really hit the spot. For the entire Gyro it was only $6 which included a drink. I was quite pleased with this. They also make a variety of other sandwiches and international dishes. The Russian Pelmeni looked really good too. Next time I’ll give that a try.
In addition to a wonderful deli section they also sell tons of deli meats and cheeses plus an entire store full of international foods and products. I couldn’t even begin to name all the items so I’d just recommend you stop in, get a fresh Gyro and browse the store.
Anoush Deli International Food Market is located at 6808 NE Fourth Plain, Vancouver, WA 98662 and can be reached at 360-693-4359. They are open 7 days per week.
