Day 22 of 365…

As I enter Mugs Coffee I sense a quaintness about the place. Comfortable couches, coffee tables, regular tables and even a tall table in the corner. Everyone in the place was busily tending to their coffee, tea, pastries and computer. I was greeted with a smile by Sarah (the manager) and the “new gal”. I asked about the Voodoo Doughnuts right away and found out that they do in fact carry them on Saturdays! Score! So if you’re craving a Voodoo Doughnut some time and don’t want to go “across the bridge” Mugs Coffee is your place to go.

Inside of Mugs CoffeeIf you’re in the mood for a great Iced Chai the one I had today was awesome. My family happened to stop in (kids haircuts) and they all loved their drinks and the kids loved their lemon bar and cinnamon roll. They also make fresh gourmet sandwiches that sounded wonderful. As we sat and enjoyed our food and drinks I began to realize this is a place of family. Not that the people are all related but they are a family of friends who enjoy this place. Andy was full of smiles as he worked away on his computer. Rick was quietly reading at the bar along the front window. Sarah knew everyone. Sam and Mrs. Sam had just left (come to find out, Sam is a friend of mine!) Plus, there are the “couch dwellers” who greatly enjoy their time visiting on the big comfy couches. Not only do they provide great food and beverages, Mugs Coffee provides a wonderful atmosphere.
