Day 310 of 365…
I love the Uptown Village area of downtown Vancouver, WA. It is so rich with wonderful local businesses and all around great people who really care about our local economy. Tonight I spent some time visiting Lynn who recently opened Neighbors Market on the corner of Main Street and McLoughlin.
#Mmmmpie Alert! While I was there local caterer Jo Foody‘s brought in fresh baked pies and Neighbors Market will be open until 3pm on Christmas Eve so swing by and grab one before they’re gone.
Lynn shared with me about all the local providers who stock the shelves of this trendy local store. Local honey, local produce, local breads, local pies, local… You get the point. :) She also is striving to carry as much organic, sustainable practice product as possible which fits nicely into the Uptown Village vibe. Rather than running to the local large scale grocery store I’d suggest you stop in here and wander around a bit. You might be surprised at all of the things you can buy local from a local.
Stay tuned for Lynn’s upcoming classes on sustainable living and understanding more about this. She’s in the process of getting it ready to go. Ask her about it when you stop by.
Neighbors Market is located at 1707 Main Street, Vancouver, WA 98660 and can be reached at 360-448-6120. You can also connect with Neighbors Market on Facebook.
