Here is the list for the 2011 Easter Egg Hunts in Vancouver, WA (& surrounding cities).
Day 45 of 365…
It’s that time of year. Spring is here (the rain is a dead giveaway it’s arrived…) and Easter weekend is upon us. I thought why not highlight a few of the Easter Egg hunts taking place around town on Saturday April 3rd, 2010. I know there are lots more than what I’m pointing out here. I wanted to share a few I was familiar with and feel free to share others in the comments. All of these hunts are FREE.
Vancouver Farmers Market is doing an Easter Egg hunt complete with a visit from The Easter Bunny from 10AM to Noon at Esther Short Park. Note: The Bunny will be making his appearance before the hunt.
First Church of God/King’s Way Christian School will be doing their hunt at 3PM at their NE 78th Street campus in the Hazel Dell area.
Camas Parks and Recreation will be hosting a couple different events Saturday and Sunday at Crown Park on Everett and 15th Avenue. The first one is a night hunt for kids aged 10-12. It starts at 9PM and don’t forget your flashlight. Their second event takes place on Easter Day at 1:30PM and is for kids aged 2-9.
LifePoint Church on 192nd Avenue and 1st Street will be hosting a HUGE Eggstreme Hunt! They will have 20,000 eggs filled with candy, cash and prizes. They are having one hunt at 9:30AM and the other at 11:30AM. Their hunt is open to kids between 2 and 5th Grade. In addition to the hunt they’ll also have a slide, obstacle course and bounce houses.
If you’re looking to stay indoors but still want to take the kids hunting why not stop by Big Al’s for their 3,000+ egg hunt. The kids from 6-12 will have a hunt at 10AM and the 5 and under kids will hunt at 10:30.
Last stop on my little tour around town is in the Cascade Park area. The Vancouver Elks No. 823 will have a hunt at noon on Saturday. Kids between 0 and 12 will have an opportunity to hunt for over 2,000 eggs. In addition, the Elks will be making available hot dogs, chips and soda (for sale). Why not stop in and have lunch and let the kids do some hunting.
(Please remember, ALL children MUST be accompanied by adults at all these events.)
